The Lord's Voice

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The Lord's Voice ("the site", "we", "us") is an independent, free project. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, and how it's used.

Information we collect

We don't require you to create an account or give your name to use the site. What you type into the "What's on your mind?" box is processed in your own browser to match you with a passage — it is not stored on our server or read by us.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use what you type into the verse finder for any purpose beyond showing you a result in your own browser.

Third parties

Some parts of the site link to or embed services run by others, each with their own privacy practices:

You can control how Google uses this data for ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and learn more about Google's own practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We encourage you to review those services' own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under UK GDPR or similar laws elsewhere), you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, or object to certain uses. Since we collect very little personal data by design, there is usually little to nothing tied to you individually — but you're welcome to contact us with any request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.

This policy is a general template and is not a substitute for legal advice. Before launch, especially once ads, analytics, or payment processing are added, it's worth having it checked against your actual setup and local law (e.g. UK GDPR, US state privacy laws).
