Home / Bible Verses for Temptation
Temptation is something scripture treats as universal, not shameful. These verses speak to resisting it, and to not being alone in the struggle.
“No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
“Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life.”
James 1:12
“Watch and pray, that you don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:41
